Per la sua quarta personale da Pinksummer, Stefania Galegati Shines ha deciso di uscire fuori dallo spazio della galleria e di accompagnarci in una passeggiata tra i vicoli di Genova, raccontandoci la storia di un amore.
La storia, scritta da Rosa Matteucci basandosi su vicende reali svoltesi a partire dalla seconda guerra mondiale, narra della relazione tra un’ebrea di Odessa, rifugiata a Genova e un dirigente del partito fascista. Il racconto è riportato come il dialogo in tono colloquiale tra un narratore e un ascoltatore e si srotola come un lungo nastro di parole, scritte a terra con tempera bianca, che parte da Palazzo Ducale e si snoda tra le stradine in discesa del centro storico, per arrivare a gettarsi nel mare del porto antico. Un intervento d’arte nello spazio pubblico poetico e gentile, destinato anch’esso a dissolversi e perdersi nel mare. Un modo diverso di attraversare la città e di riflettere sulla relazione tra i suoi spazi e le vite che vi si svolgono.

For her fourth personal exhibition at Pinksummer, Stefania Galegati Shines has decided to get out of the gallery space and take us for a walk on the streets of Genoa, narrating us a love story.
The story, written by Rosa Matteucci, is based on real events that took place since the Second World War. It recounts the relationship between a Jewish girl from Odessa, sought refuge in Genoa and an executive member of the Fascist Party. The story unfolds in the form of a conversation between a narrator and a listener, where words are unwound like a long ribbon, written on the pavement in white tempera, starting from Palazzo Ducale and among the narrow streets that head down to the old city centre and all the way into the sea of the old port. An intervention of art in the public space, poetic
and subtle, intended also to dissolve and be lost in the sea. An alternative way to navigate through the city and reflect on the relationship of its spaces and the lives associated with.Andrea Balestrero
