GRANDE CHIAMATA PER L’ARTE al MAXXI / AMACI 

 Domani, sabato 29 settembre c’è il grande raduno al MAXXI – dalle 12.00 alle 18.00 – per   AMACI –Associazione dei Musei d’Arte Contemporanea Italiani . Si svolgerà,  un’assemblea generale del mondo dell’arte contemporanea per discutere lo stato del sistema dell’arte in Italia: investimenti, fughe di cervelli, sgravi fiscali, ecc.

Mi preme molto un punto sugli altri, sarà perché mi ‘tocca’ da vicino: “..il rapporto molte volte difficile e conflittuale tra l’arte contemporanea e i media”. Mi auguro che si sollevi il grosso problema delle testate che non pagano i proprio collaboratori. Mi auguro che se ne parli, visto che la maggior parte dei direttori (a parte qualche caso eccellente, dove tutti quelli che lavorano vengono pagati), scelgono la politica della collaborazione-visibilità. Ad un noto direttore ho chiesto: “Pagate i vostri collaboratori?” E mi ha risposto così: “Alcuni sono assunti a tutti gli effetti, altri hanno dei piccoli contratti annuali, la maggior parte (essendo i collaboratori circa 200) collabora gratuitamente venendo “retribuita” grazie alla grande visibilità che la testata è in grado di dare.” 

Ma anche tanti altri sono i temi gravosi che si andranno ad affrontare: nuovi possibili modelli di riferimento per gestire l’attuale crisi economica e uscirne rafforzati; il fenomeno della fuga dei cervelli; la proposta di adeguati progetti che siano in competizioni con le istituzioni straniere ecc.

Le presenze confermate sono tantissime:  Beatrice Merz,  Giacinto Di Pietrantonio,  Anna Mattirolo,  Angela Rorro e Bartolomeo Pietromarchi tra i tanti altri. Sono previsti gli interventi di Marco Altavilla,  Patrizia Asproni – Presidente Confcultura,  Stefano Arienti,  Lorenzo Benedetti,  Laura Cherubini,  Massimo Di Carlo,  Guido Guerzoni,  Salvatore Lacagnina,  Cristiana Perrella,   e Alfredo Pirri. Ci saranno anche i contributi di Fabio Cavallucci ,  Massimo Minini,  Chiara Parisi e Michelangelo Pistoletto. 

Oltre a questa grande ‘chiamata per l’arte’, le proposte in giro per la città non mancano. Parte infatti da domani 28 settembre  e dura fino a domenica,     Roma Art2night: apertura corale di gallerie e musei con iniziative, presentazioni, brunch ecc.

Venerdì 28, dalle 11 alle 21 ci sarà l’apertura straordinaria di gallerie e fondazioni. Dalle 20, nella piazza del MAXXI: RA2N Welcome Cocktail con la  premiazione Menabrea Art Prize

Sabato 29 , sempre apertura straordinaria delle gallerie fino alle 21. Dalle 22, tutti al Macro per Roma Art 2Nights Party

Domenica 30, allo Spazio Cerere, RA2N Goodbye Cocktail Party  in collaborazione con Premio  Terna 04

Ecco le proposte cittadine … e buoni giri!

Tomorrow, Saturday, 29^th September 29 the big rally takes place at MAXXI – from 12.00 to 18.00 – for AMACI-Association for the Italian Contemporary Art Museums. A general meeting for the art world  will be held to discuss the status of the art system in Italy: investments, brain draining, tax exemptions, etc..

I would like to focus on one specific point, maybe because it is closer to me: “… the relationship between contemporary art and the press is many times difficult and delicate.” I hope that it will be resolved the big problem of the unpaid employees. I hope it will be discussed, since the majority of the directors (with some exceptions, per excellence, where all the employees are getting paid), choose the strategy collaboration-visibility. I asked a renowned director: “Do you pay your collaborators?” And he replied: “Some have been fully hired, others have small annual contracts, most (of about 200 collaborators) of them work for free only to be refunded later on, thanks to the great visibility that the headers are able to give.”

But there are many other important issues that will be put forward: new, sustainable models for managing the current economic crisis and come out of this stronger; the brain drain effect, the proposal of appropriate projects that can compete with the foreign institutions etc..

In addition to this great ‘call for art’, the proposals for a gallery visit are many. As a matter of fact, it starts tomorrow 28^th September and lasts until Sunday, Roma Art2night: the grand opening of the galleries and the museums with activities, presentations, brunches, etc.

On Friday 28th, from 11 to 21 there will be a special opening of the galleries and foundations. From 20:00 onwards, at the MAXXI square: RA2N Welcome Cocktail with the awarding of Menabrea Art Prize

On Saturday 29^th, always a special opening of the galleries up to 21:00. From 22:00 onwards, everyone at the Macro per Roma Art 2nights Party!

On Sunday 30^th, at Spazio Cerere, the RA2N Goodbye Cocktail Party, in collaboration with Premio Terna 04.
