Durante le riprese della performance della sua performance, Julius von Bismarck è stato arrestato. Lui è il primo artista che (in teoria) dovrebbe inaugurare domani il progetto ‘ These Peanuts are Bullets’, curato dallo spazio milanese Le Dictateur, e ospitato nella Family Business Gallery* a NY. L’artista, come si vede dal video, è stato arrestato perchè frustava la statua della libertà.
Van Bismarck sta facendo un serie di performance documentate con video e foto che si chiama ‘Punishment’. Queste prevedono la fustigazione di diversi elementi, naturali o simbolici. Quella della statua della libertà era parte di questo percorso di ricerca.

Family Business Gallery ospita Le Dictateur con il progetto ‘ These Peanuts are Bullets’.
Il progetto prevede una serie di interventi tra cui quello di Julius von Bismarck. Gli altri artisti coinvolti: Julius Von Bismarck, Floria Sigismondi, Nico Vascellari, Liz Magic Laser e Thomas Houseago.

These Peanuts are Bullets is a five days long show (July, 10th– 14th) by Le Dictateur, hosted by Family Business, Chelsea.
These Peanuts are Bullets is featuring works, publications, performances in a unique stream.
It consists in two different programs, depending on the hour of the day: everyday from 10am-6pm the exhibition will focus on zines and artists’ prints displayed continuously, alternating solo shows with collective.
Every night, starting from 6.30 pm, a solo show’s opening is taking place. Every artist invited has designed a special project for These Peanuts are Bullets.
