Prosegue l’attività della Fondazione Nicola Trussardi con mostre fuori dai contesti espositivi. In occasione di miart 2018 è stato presentato Sacrilege dell’artista inglese Jeremy Deller a cura di Massimiliano Gioni.
Situato nel Parco CityLife per quattro giorni, a pochi passi dalla fiera, il gonfiabile in scala 1:1 riproduce il sito archeologico megalitico di Stonehenge. L’installazione, che copre 1135 mq, è, nelle intenzioni dell’autore, un’esperienza sociale che punta a creare un luogo di scambio e aggregazione. In questo caso l’artista trasforma un sito UNESCO, importante simbolo per gli inglesi, in un gonfiabile da luna park. Con un’operazione sacrilega, appunto, ma anche celebrativa Deller mostra come a volte certi simboli nazionali vengano strumentalizzati e banalizzati, e unisce al momento di aggregazione collettiva una critica sia a certa arte pubblica sia al turismo mordi e fuggi. Il gonfiabile è una scultura sociale e un luogo per incontri che costituisce un luogo di svago per grandi e piccoli. Creata da Deller nel 2012 e già esposta in numerose occasioni, dopo aver ospitato quasi mezzo milione di persone, “Sacrilege” tocca ora la città di Milano. L’opera resterà fruibile fino al 15 aprile.
